‘Sculpture Trail Ferns’ by Claire Leach is an original pen drawing made on smooth hot pressed Daler Rowney watercolour paper measuring 21cm x 14.9cm (31.5cm x 25cm including frame). The drawing has been signed, titled and dated on the reverse. Professionally float mounted and framed in wood painted black with anti-reflective, UV protected Artglass™.

Sculpture Trail Ferns was inspired by a walk on the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail. The undergrowth and trees were a challenge to draw as there is no single focal point or path as I often depict, only a tangly mess of branches, leaves, ferns and grasses. The drawing was made especially for ‘Among the Trees’ Exhibition at The Merchant’s House in Marlborough in July 2024. Each mark has been made by hand with a 0.03 nib pen, a time consuming process. 

Framed in wood painted black with anti-reflective, UV protected Artglass™ which is anti reflective and scratch resistant with UV protection. Fitted with string ready to be hung.
